Training Opportunities are Everywhere!!!

Most of us are in full swing with our training these days. Whether your goal is Ironman or one of the many Sprint or Olympic distance races (check out our Calendar for many in the Middle TN area), there are plenty of options for training events. Here are a few resources to help keep you motivated this season…

Swimming– join our Open Water Swim on July 20th! Check out our calendar for more details. There are also many Masters groups at various YMCA locations and through the Nashville Aquatic Club (NAC). Ensworth has also added a program.

Biking– Ask around at your favorite bike store for rides. Or check out Harpeth Bike Club.  They offer many ride options throughout the week for all levels.

Endeavor Performance– led by Pro Cyclist, Todd Nordmeyer, these trainer sessions are designed to help you reach your maximum bike fitness. Classes are now available specific to late summer/early fall Ironman races and shorter events.

Running– long runs solo can be tough. There are a few running groups that are always fun to join. Check out the East Nasty running group for their famous Wed night runs. And the Nashville Striders have started their marathon training series with longer runs on Saturdays.  Or join NTC for our next group training run on Sunday, August 10th.
