Member Spotlight: Todd Scot

Nashville Triahlon Club’s latest Member Spotlight is featuring Todd Scot, Nashville resident and innovation design leader at Deloitte. New to the sport of triathlon, Todd has several races under his belt including a third place award in his age group at this year’s Nashvegas Tri.

1. When and why did you first start training for triathlons?

October 2012

2. What is your favorite/most memorable race and why?

The 2013 Nautica South Beach Triathlon on Sunday, April 7th. Getting up close with the pros! Also, the Knoxville Tri. The water was 51 degrees, the outside temp was 55 and it was pouring rain the entire race. I think I had hypothermia!

3. What races are you excited about/training for in 2013?

The races left for me this year are the Venice, Fal Rev 3 in October and the Key West Tri in December.

4. What is a fun fact about you that you would like the world to know?

After I left the U.S. Army I became an avid historian on American revolutionary history. Also, I graduated with a masters in music from Yale, so I put that experience to use writing songs and working as a free-lance percussionist.
